| Chesterfield County Awarded USDA Rural Business Enterprise Grant |

| $125,000 from USDA and Lynches River Electric Cooperative will add to the County's inventory of shovel-ready sites. CHESTERIFIELD COUNTY, S.C. – June 2, 2010 – The Chesterfield County Economic Development Board today announced that Chesterfield County has been awarded a Rural Business Enterprise (RBEG) grant of $99,500 from the USDA. Grant match of $25,500 is provided by Lynches River Electric Cooperative. The $125,000 will support site planning, environmental review, infrastructure placement, and design of a speculative industrial building on the 22-acre Lynches River Industrial Park site located next to Wal-mart Distribution Center on Highway 601 in Pageland. "The development of the Lynches River Industrial Park will add to Chesterfield County’s economic development assets that will enable us to more effectively compete for businesses and the jobs they bring." said Representative Ted Vick. "Economic development is very important to Chesterfield County and having this site ready will make us more prepared." said Eddie Rivers, Chesterfield County Councilman. Councilman Gerald Miller agreed, "This will add another option for business growth in our County." The grant award from USDA provides Chesterfield County the opportunity to work with Lynches River Cooperative and other partners to expand our inventory of shovel-ready industrial parks." said Brenda Workman, Executive Director of Chesterfield County Economic Development Board. "The location located on the newly opened 4-lane 601/151 corridor will open new opportunities for development." Said David Altman, President & CEO of the Lynches River Electric Cooperative.
